On June 11th and 12th, grab your lawn chairs and blankets and head to Burlington to see the Occaneechi Saponi tribe to enjoy Native American food, dancing, and story telling. The tribe is native to Alamance and Orange county making them an integral part of Hillsborough’s rich history.
This will be the 31st Annual Powwow that has been put on by the tribe and you definitely will not want to miss it! The Master of the Ceremony is John “Blackfeather” Jeffries with Red Oak and Thunder Voice on the drums. General admission is $5, seniors and children under 12 are $3, and children 6 and younger are free.
